The five workstreams
Everything below is included at the fixed price. Nothing here is billed by the hour.
1. Monitoring deployment
Collector installed, every discovered device brought under monitoring, roles tagged, health thresholds set.
2. Alerting
Rules for device down, WAN loss, error rate, disk and memory pressure — routed to named people with quiet hours agreed.
3. Configuration backup
Automated config capture for firewall, switches and access points, with version history and a restore procedure we walk through with you.
4. Hardening pass
Default credentials replaced, unused services disabled, management interfaces restricted, firmware updated in your window, guest wireless separated.
5. Documentation baseline
Network diagram, inventory with owners, credentials handed to your vault, and a one-page runbook for the five most likely failures.
Acceptance criteria
Seven written criteria we both sign off — including a test alert that actually arrives and a restore actually walked through.
The week
- Day 0 — kickoff call, scope confirmed, access arranged, maintenance window agreed. 30 minutes of your time.
- Days 1–2 — collector deployed, discovery completed, device roles tagged. Access only.
- Days 3–4 — alerting configured, config backups running, hardening changes staged for your approval.
- Day 5 — hardening applied inside the maintenance window, rollback ready.
- Days 6–7 — documentation written, handover call, sprint closed against the acceptance criteria.
Additional sites quoted per site. Hardware, cabling, ISP changes, server migration and penetration testing are out of scope and quoted separately if found.

What do we need to have ready?
Admin credentials for firewall, switches and access points (or someone on the call who has them), an always-on machine for the collector, a named change approver, and a maintenance window.
Will anything go down?
Only inside the agreed window, and only where a reboot is required. Every change is staged and approved by you first, with rollback ready.
Do we need the audit first?
No, but it helps. The $47 audit tells you what is there; the sprint fixes and documents it.
What happens when the week ends?
The sprint hardens and documents — it does not watch. Ongoing monitoring is Managed Network at $197/mo, or Managed Network Pro at $397/mo for multi-site.
